A door that has jumped its track is crooked, jammed, and carrying its full weight somewhere it was never meant to. Stop operating it — every cycle from here bends something more expensive.
When rollers leave the track, the door's weight transfers onto the panels, the remaining rollers and the cables — none of which are designed to carry it. Running the opener against that does predictable damage: bent track, kinked cables, torn hinges, creased sections, and occasionally a door that comes down hard. If the door is hanging at an angle, treat the garage as unsafe to park under until it is fixed.
Any technician can lever a door back into its track. The part that decides whether you call again in six weeks is finding what put it there. We check roller condition and stem play, track alignment and fastener torque, cable drum seating and equal cable tension, hinge and section integrity, and the door's balance once it is back in. If the underlying cause was a frozen seal, we will also tell you how to stop it happening next winter, which mostly comes down to clearing snowmelt away from the seal line and replacing a hardened bottom gasket before it starts bonding to concrete.
Sometimes the off-track event creases a panel badly enough that straightening it would leave a weak point. Individual sections can usually be ordered and swapped for far less than a whole door, and we will price both paths for you. On very old doors where the section is discontinued and no match exists, replacement becomes the honest recommendation and we will show you the numbers rather than steering you.
Please don't. The door is under spring tension and its weight is already in the wrong place; DIY attempts are how people get hurt and how cables and panels get damaged. Leave it where it is and call.

Snowmelt runs to the seal line, refreezes overnight, and bonds the rubber gasket to the concrete. Then the opener tries to lift a door that is glued down and racks it sideways. A fresh bottom seal and keeping the slab edge clear prevents most of it.
A straightforward reseat with roller replacement and realignment is usually an hour to ninety minutes. Bent track or damaged sections add time, and a discontinued section may need to be ordered — we will tell you which situation you are in before starting.
